Mr. Will has been just amazing with our 3 kids. Each is at a different level in piano. In just the first 5 minutes with them, he gauged where they were at, and showed them how to make their playing just a little prettier! It definitely piqued their interest, that they could sound so good, so quickly. They are excited to practice piano because Mr. Will lets them pick the songs they want to learn. Sometimes they have worked hard practicing piano during the week, sometimes not, but Mr. Will is always encouraging them and growing them to the next step!
Will has the amazing ability to find music pieces that make our kids want to practice. In fact, they love it so much now, that they compete with each other to sit at the piano.
I have played the piano for almost 50 years, since I was a little boy. Like me, my children also started out dreading piano lessons, out of fear of not having practiced enough. All that changed when we met Will, and now my children fight over who gets to play the piano and look forward to their lessons. Others may teach how to play the instrument, but Will instills a love for the instrument. That makes all the difference!
Will Baily has been part of our family for near 20 years. He was a mentor to me as a younger piano teacher when we both resided in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and then became the primary piano teacher for my children. We have moved many times so for the last 10 years, lessons have been exclusively online. Having the consistency of a piano teacher we “took” with us has been a huge blessing.
My hope for my own kids has been for them to love music and want to play for the rest of their lives. I am seeing this happen as they age, marry and start their own families. Over Christmas when everyone was home, my 29 year old and 25 year old son sat playing duets at the piano. My three daughters (23, 21, and 19) played trios. My 11 year old practices willingly because she discovered it was JOY. The end result at this time is astounding. They all regularly participate in music making in their own spheres, be it through church, teaching, accompanying, or just sitting down to entertain themselves. Will has the unique ability to create students who want to “play” at the piano. He has helped us see that making music for all of life is so very beautiful.
Mr. Will is so patient in helping me find pieces that both challenge me and that I enjoy playing. He knows how to choose songs that push me to grow while ensuring that I never lose my love of music.
Mr. Will loves the piano and makes others love the piano too. He does this by his unique teaching style and openness to allowing me to learn any piece or style that I ask for.
Mr. Will has developed my love for the piano and encourages me to try new styles. He has also patiently walked me through learning how to compose my own pieces.
Mr. Will makes the pieces come alive. He also allows me to choose what pieces I would like to play, which helps me grow in my love for playing the piano.
Mr. Will helps me find pieces according to the style of music that I like. He makes it so that I'm always looking forward to piano lessons.
I love when Mr. Will allows me to pick any song that I want to play. That makes me excited to practice the piano.
